Walkthrough

Experience the shimmering cascades of nine harps, the resonant warmth of a marimba orchestra, and the delicate intricacy of 18 mandolins, charangos and ukeleles. Spitfire Swarms creates choirs from rarely grouped instruments, arranged around AIR Studios Lyndhurst Hall to create haunting tremolos, epic glissandi, intricate rhythmic patterns and soaring melodic lines.
Previously only available as individual libraries in the full version of Kontakt, the ethereal textures of Harp Swarm, the percussive choir of Marimba Swarm and the chaotic interweaving beauty of Mandolin Swarm are now available as a single consolidated library in the free-to-download Kontakt Player.
The Swarms concept takes inspiration from Pointillism in neo-impressionist fine art – using discrete tiny dots of pure colour which become blended in the eye of the viewer to create a fuller range of tones. This technique, developed by Georges Seurat in 1886, is mirrored here, as discrete short notes coalesce in the ear of the listener to give the impression of longer continuous tones, unlocking gorgeous textures for cinematic sound design.
