SPITFIRE SYMPHONIC MOTIONS
Inspiring polyrhythmic momentum.
Three dynamic libraries with remarkable instruments and unique timbres that add the extra shine that brings your orchestral mockups to the next level.
Great scores are defined by their detail. While the melody carries the emotion, it is the texture, the momentum, and the unique sonic signature that build the world around it.
The Ton 2025 brings together three powerhouse libraries recorded in the world-famous Lyndhurst Hall at AIR Studios. United by the same acoustic signature as the Spitfire Symphony Orchestra, this collection offers a palette of propulsive rhythms, evolving textures, and unique instrumentation that transforms your tracks from sketches to detailed, cinematic scores.
From the granular cascades of Swarms, to the ear-catching details of Extras and the polyrhythmic pulses of Motions, these are the nuanced layers that breathe life into a composition, bridging the gap between orchestral tradition and contemporary sound design.

Inspiring polyrhythmic momentum.
Symphonic Motions is a rhythmic string library designed to bring kinetic energy to your score. Moving beyond static loops, it captures the unpredictable reality of live performance and the subtle differences in bowing and timing that create authentic drive.
Featuring 22 violins and 12 celli recorded in situ, the library utilises a bespoke grid interface inspired by the EMS VCS3 synthesiser. This allows you to peg different rhythmic values (6ths, 8ths, 12ths, 16ths) across the key range, generating complex, polyrhythmic beds that undulate and evolve. It creates an immediate, widescreen sound that propels a scene forward without overpowering the melodic line.
Evolving textures and shimmering detail.
Taking inspiration from pointillism, Swarms replaces the static sustain with a living, breathing cloud of sound. By recording large ensembles of identical instruments playing asynchronously, we have captured a texture that is constantly moving: a swarm of detail that coalesces into a lush, evolving whole.
The collection features unique ensembles impossible to replicate elsewhere: 9 Harps creating shimmering cascades, 9 Marimbas offering warm, wooden undercurrents, and 18 Mandolins & Ukuleles for ethereal textures. Ideally suited for underscoring, these sounds bridge the gap between organic performance and granular synthesis.
Unique orchestral instruments.
Symphonic Extras provides the ear-catching details that distinguish a generic mockup from a unique score. Often, the most memorable element of a score is the sound you can't quite place. This is a curated collection of rare and cinematic auxiliary instruments, all captured with the same depth and air as the rest of the symphonic range.
This toolkit includes the Aluphone, offering a magical, icy alternative to the Celeste; the Cimbalom, essential for adding tension and metallic grit; and a distinctive Plucked Piano for percussive, organic rhythm. Alongside classic Steel Drums and a baroque Harpsichord, these instruments sit perfectly in the mix, adding a distinct, tactile character to your orchestral palette.
