Spitfire Audio Terms & Conditions

We can’t wait to hear your music! Should you want to enter the competition, here are the terms that set out what you need to agree to (the “Rules”).

The Rules apply to Eric Whitacre X Scoring for LABS (the “Competition”).

The Competition is organised by Spitfire Audio Holdings Limited, a company incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 09857384 whose registered office is at 5th Floor, 89 New Bond Street, London, W1S 1DA, United Kingdom (“Spitfire”, “we”, “us”, “our”)

To enter the Competition for a chance to win, all you have to do is download our LABS Choir library and choose any (or up to all five!) of the videos provided by the Space Telescope Science Institute. Open in a DAW of your choice and create a score, using only the LABS Choir library. Then simply upload the scored video to your social channels using the hashtag #labschoir. Eric Whitacre and his team, as well as us here at Spitfire, will be on the hunt to find our favourite pieces.

Each of your compositions (up to five) will be entered and considered separately, however each entrant is only eligible to win up to one prize.  Each entrant may submit one composition per video asset; submitting multiple compositions for a single video asset will disqualify you.

Full details of how to enter the competition can be found at www.spitfireaudio.com/editorial/features/labs-notebook-104/.

Each of the five winners shall receive:

  • 1x Eric Whitacre Choir Library; and
  • 1x signed Eric Whitacre vinyl (to be personally selected by Eric himself)

Only those winners who are able to provide a postal address in a country to which we are permitted to ship a vinyl record will be eligible to receive the Eric Whitacre vinyl prize.

Entrants may only enter the Competition once and must be over 16 to be eligible for a prize. The Competition is void in all countries where prohibited or restricted by law.

Key Competition Dates:

  • 30 December 2018 at 00:01 GMT competition starts
  • 13 January 2019 at 23:39 GMT competition ends
  • The winner will be notified by email by 1 February 2019
  • Failure to register and download the prize by 28 February 2019 may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner

Anyone who purchases Eric Whitacre Choir during the promotion and then goes on to win Eric Whitacre in the competition will receive a full refund. If you already own the Eric Whitacre Choir Library then please do feel free to enter the competition, but in the event that your music is selected as a winning entry, you will not be eligible for either an additional copy of the library or a refund.

By entering the Competition (and you warrant that) you are aged 16 or over (or have permission from a parent or guardian) and that you are not an employee or supplier (or a family member of an employee or a supplier) of Spitfire or any company (including any subsidiaries) involved in operating or sponsoring the Competition or awarding any prizes.

If you are a prize winner then Spitfire may require you to prove your identity, including a proof of your address. Examples of identification documents include passport, driving licence and utility bills.

By claiming a prize, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Spitfire reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

Spitfire reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.

In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to a Competition, the decision of Spitfire shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

Spitfire reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules without notice. Any changes will be amended to these terms and conditions.

There is no charge to enter the Competition nor are you required to be a Spitfire customer.

Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Spitfire reserves the right to substitute prizes for prizes of equal or greater value at any time. No prizes can be redeemed for cash.

Spitfire cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting any prize. Spitfire is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or on any website, or any combination of these, including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Competition. Nothing shall exclude Spitfire’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
